We do currently accept e-bikes. We are fortunate to have a volunteer (Walter!) who enjoys working on these to get them running again. Walter determines if they can be charged and if they hold a charge. If a battery isn’t charging he will try to find something that might work instead. Otherwise the bike will need to be converted to a regular manual bicycle.
For these three e-bikes we recently donated to Ghana, all were in great working condition. They will be used by VBP staff to visit beneficiaries, partner shops, and schools where they hold their clinics. Using an e-bike will save the staff money and be more sustainable than traveling by motorbike.
