ROCKVILLE VOLUNTEER NIGHT: MOVING TO ARLINGTON....
It is with great sadness that we announce the closing of the Bikes for the World facility at King Farm in Rockville. For the last two years Bikes for the World has operated a weekly Thursday night volunteer night at our warehouse at the King Farm Farmstead in Rockville. We will now shift that event to our Arlington warehouse. Read more about King Farm in a message from Executive Director Keith Oberg.
PENTAGON CITY VOLUNTEER NIGHT: Thursdays 4pm - 8pm
Join us for volunteer night at our warehouse in Arlington. We will be prepping bikes for shipment, stripping marginal bikes for useful parts, and sometimes even loading a 40' container with bikes and spare parts.
Mentoring and training provided; no prior mechanical skills required. Just show up with clothes that can get dirty. Gloves available. If you are participating for required hours that need a signature, please bring your paperwork filled out with you to volunteer night. We will sign off on it after you complete the hours.
The Arlington warehouse is at 1420 S Eads, Arlington VA. It is Metro accessible and we also have a parking lot where you can park for free in front of the warehouse. If you have any questions or need directions contact us office(at)bikesfortheworld.org
